Boston, MA, 03/21/2014 – Aetna (NYSE:AET) and Atlantic ACO, a venture of Atlantic Health System and Valley Health Syatem, today entered into a new responsible care agreement by which there will be improvement in the coordination and delivery of patient care. The 28,000 Aetna members from different areas will be served by Atlantic ACO and they can expect better patient experience

Atlantic ACO thrives hard for reducing the health care expenditure and improvement in quality and patient satisfaction for their patients. It has 1,700 primary care dedicated physicians and specialists working to make patients better.

Good News for Aetna Members

Aetna members by using the Atlantic ACO will get a chance to experience more coordinated care, especially those patients who are suffering from long standing disease or complex heath symptoms. Now they have access to better treatment and care will be benefitted largely by service they will receive from physicians and specialists of Atlantic ACO.

Over the last 24 months those Aetna members who have received treatment from physicians affiliated to Atlantic ACO will be ascribed to this agreement. Nothing will be change in the front of benefit instead they are now part of august group of people who receive highly professional health care in all respect.

Welcomed by both Companies

John Lawrence, The president, Aetna, New Jersey, said that when hospitals and medical plans work jointly, the good thing happens for the people they serve. He said by working together will be extremely beneficial to Aetna members as they will get improved health care facility and it would be very cost effective for them.

The David Shulkin, M.D., president, Atlantic ACO also expressed happiness over this partnership and expected they will continue to provide good service to patients. He said that with Aetna in side they expect to deliver very good results.

To succeed in any format the careful practice of quality parameters need to be followed. Under this agreement it rewards the ACO physicians if they are able to meet quality and efficiency parameters: It covers the entire thing generally which harasses a patient when he is admitted to any hospital.
