According to a report in Reuters, the company will debut a new, lower priced Nokia Windows Phone model at the Mobile World Congress next week. A prominent technology site also published leaked details of Nokia’s new Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 models, also scheduled to see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress.

Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) gave up 0.65% to close at $3.05 on a day when just over 31 million shares changed hands. Sirius XM Radio Inc. is the world’s largest radio broadcaster measured by revenue and has 24 million subscribers. The company announced that former Vice President Al Gore will be the featured guest on an upcoming installment of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series, intimate gatherings with iconic leaders, newsmakers and entertainers sitting down with a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners, accoridng to the press release. Next week there could be some clarity on Apple’s plans to enter music streaming at the company’s annual shareholder meeting, and these might impact Sirius if they signify competitive muscle.

Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) lost over 4% to $1.41 after trading over 22 million shares. Alcatel Lucent is a French company engaged in the business of providing network solutions worldwide for voice, data and video services to customers. According to reports in the media, the French government may pick up a stake in the company to lend it a hand in turning around its troubled, loss-making operations. The move comes after previous assistance by the French government in the form of a loan had been criticised in the country.
