The Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Steve Ballmer, prepared time to meet the Chief Executive Officer of HTC Corp (TPE: 2498), Peter Chou on a sway via Taiwan.

The point in discussion on Chou’s schedule is the weak resolution that impelled HTC Corp (TPE: 2498) to crumble the plan of larger smartphone with the use of mobile software from Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT).

It is imperative that Ballmer stays on good side of Chou. The reason for the same is that HTC Corp (TPE: 2498) can assist Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) compete better with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) in the 718- million-unit market of smartphone, where Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has only a share of 2.6 percent (as per IDC researcher). With the closer ties demonstrated between the two companies, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and of HTC Corp (TPE: 2498), the company that may lose out is Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK).
