Microsoft to unveil Office upgrade

Microsoft has said that it will be launching a new version of Microsoft Office tool. The Microsoft Office is a widely used suite for word processing , email programs and spreadsheets. It will be unveiled in an event in San Francisco.

Microsoft hasn’t provided any details on what the event on Monday will be all about but it has confirmed that Steve Ballmer, the CEO of the firm, will be present for the event.

According to a large number of media outlets and analysts from the industry, Microsoft Corp is intending upon showcasing the Office 15, which is a largely anticipated overhaul of the very popular and lucrative bundle of its software programs.

Similar to the new Operating system from Microsoft, the windows 8 , Office 15 will also respond to both touch as well as command input from the keyboard on your computer or a mouse.

The new addition of the touch-based controls is likely to enable office in extending its franchise into the ever growing and increasingly competitive market of tablet computers.

The shares of Microsoft Corp. were trading up o.o5 points or 0.17 per cent at 29.44 from the previous close of 29.48. The volume of shares traded on the Nasdaq were 27.45 M as against the average of 43.39 M.
