Boston, MA, 04/10/2014 (usastockreport) – Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) is all set to bring in profits this year with the sales of its Windows phones going up drastically year-by-year and also with its entry into new ventures with other companies. Nokia Corporation seems to have seen the light of the day and fortunately so. Let’s hope that the company gets to maintain its good times and move upwards on the progress chart because a lot is at stake.
Sales Of Windows Phones Expected to Rise
With the advent of the New Year, Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) seems to present a promising picture when it comes to the sales of its Windows Phones. The features and strategies in the new windows phones have increased, and hence the sales of these phones are also expected to rise. Reportedly, Nokia boasts that it could help Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) to get the sale numbers to reach as high as 50 million this year.
The only condition is that the deal between Nokia and Microsoft needs to be finalized before this could be achieved. This deal is about Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) acquiring the Devices and Services segment of the Nokia Corporation. This deal is predicted to be beneficial for both Microsoft, as well as Nokia Corporation.
Clearances Regarding The Nokia-Microsoft Deal
Nokia Corporation has received the green flag from the Chinese authorities over the deal between Nokia and Microsoft the estimated worth of which is calculated to be $7.2 billion. But, unfortunately, this was not g forward to cash the last impediment in the completion of this deal. Clearance is still awaited from the authorities of India, which still seems a bit difficult because of the fact that Nokia India is tied up in a tax dispute with the Indian Authorities. It is reported that Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) owes between $400 to $750 million in taxes, to the Indian Authorities in the dispute.
