Photos and a video of Nokia Corporation’s (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) new model Lumia 510 have been leaked online, along with what might be actual technical specifications and pricing.
The Lumia 510 is aimed at the lower end of the smartphone market. Reports are that it will have a 4-inch display, 4GB of internal memory, 256MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera and run on an 800MHz Qualcomm Scorpion CPU. The price is expected to be $150.
This new model will also use the Windows Phone 7.8 operating system rather than the newer Windows Phone 8. Reportedly this is due to hardware limitations.
The question is whether or not the Lumia 510 will be obsolete as soon as it is released due to the Windows 7.8 operating system. In any case, it is expected to be sold first in China with possible global distribution later.
