Boston, MA, 03/28/2014  (usastockreports)- Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) fiscal result for the first quarter of 2014 will be announced on Tuesday, April 29. The result can be viewed at the company website at www.sprint.com/investors at 7 a.m ET. There will be a conference call at 8 a.m. ET to discuss the results which will be hosted by Sprint management.

Partnership with CCA and NetAmerica Alliance

In the meantime company with the partnership of Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) and Net America Alliance has formed an alliance named as SMART (Small Market Alliance for Rural Transformation). It will work in Rural American area to speed up the 4th Generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) deployment. Further, from the start of next year Sprint devices will be added with 700 Mega Hertz Band 12.

As per the agreement, the subscribers of Competitive Carriers Association and NetAmerica Alliance will be able to use mobile on Sprints’ LTE network using Data Services Hub of CCA. In the reciprocation the Sprint will be using local networks of these two companies. By this collaboration, it will increase the user data base of the company’s LTE Coverage by 250 million.

Tough Competition

It is important to note that Verizon the rival of Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) has 300 million users for the LTE network. Verizon Wireless has already started this type of program in 2010 targeting Rural America to widen it LTE network coverage. However the Steven Berry, President and Chief Executive Officer of CCA feels that Sprint’s scheme is better than Verizon’s it gives more freedom to operators.

There is an increased demand for the LTE deployment, as it minimizes the infrastructure cost and offers best quality to subscribers and easily deployable. So more companies are looking to deploy this technology and around 101 countries are using this network. By 2017 the overall user of LTE network will be around 1 billion.

So this can be considered a forward step of the Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) to jump into the bandwagon as it well strengthens its position against its rival companies. This in turn will serve the company well longer run.
