Boston, MA, 04/09/2014 (usastockreport) – The global leading photovoltaic manufacturer Hanwha SolarOne Co Ltd. (NASDAQ:HSOL), has taken a great initiative to donate the solar modules to the Karume Institute of Science and Technology. The institute is based in Zanzibar, Tanzania. It is given for the installation of a 75 kW rooftop inaugurated on January 13, 2014. Hanwha is a provider of top quality PV modules and is also cost effective in the industry.
The step taken by Hanwha SolarOne Co Ltd. (NASDAQ:HSOL) is gaining accolades as it serves two dual purposes. The installation of 75 kW Solar Rooftop will bring clean energy to the institute. It is the first objective. Along with it, it will also help the students to learn how the local solar energy facilities are installed and made to use on practical grounds.
The participants of project
The educational project involves various other participants playing an important role in the sponsorship. The project initiation can be credited to the NGO Connecting Continents e.v. The planning and installation of the solar panels task are taken by the PV project developer GSW Gold Solar Wind Management GmbH. Both of them are based in Kirchroth. The extended support came from a local partner Mr. Sele Rashid of GSW helping to complete the installation in a short period.
The importance of educational objective
The second objective of the project holds great importance. It will be the first PV facility of a higher grade installed in Zanzibar. Haji Abdul Hamid, the esteemed Director of the institute feels proud to have the facility installed in their institute that will help the students to know about the renewable energy generation. It will encourage the use of solar energy and will also create awareness among people.
