The Cowen analysts said that post sluggishness of three years in the oil sector, 2014 finally seems to be a year of stability and of moderate growth for the sector. Moreover, they said that the sector could see a meaningful ramp-up between 2015-2018. Cowen predicts margin growth at Exxon Mobil as the incremental growth is seen from the liquids-linked output. Its capital expenditure too is expected to come down after this year. Last week, Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) had stated that the natural gas production has commenced at the Damar field offshore in Malaysia. The field has an estimated capacity of 200 million cf per day of gas.
