Boston, MA, 04/11/2014 (usastockreport) – The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) has created “The World’s Cup” campaign, the largest campaign ever in the company’s history, as it seeks to celebrate the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour
The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) and FIFA are bringing the FIFA World Cup Trophy to the U.S. during the culmination of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour. This year, the tour has seen the maximum fans ever and the world’s most cherished Trophy will be visiting four U.S. cities, namely Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami and Washington D.C. The visit will take place during the final stage of its world tour, immediately after which, it will be taken to the host country, Brazil.
“The World’s Cup” campaign, which was launched by Coca-Cola in September, 2013, aims to give an opportunity to over one million people from across the world to experience the soccer’s greatest prize in their own communities. The nine month tour is the biggest and longest FIFA tour ever. It also is the first pan-Latin America tour for the Trophy. As the tour comes to an end, the Trophy would have visited every country that has ever taken the FIFA World Cup home and also the 51 countries that had never had the chance to win it. The entire episode would account for a total of 221 days of consecutive travel for the Trophy.
World Cup Flag & Song
Coca-Cola had organized the Tour in partnership with Walgreens, which also featured the event of creating the largest flag mosaic of all times. The Coca-Cola Happiness Flag, which is as big as a soccer field, demonstrates the power of the game to bring together people from different beliefs and backgrounds. The Flag will be showcased before the Opening Match of the World Cup in Brazil on June 12.
The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) has also recorded its international song “The World Is Ours” for the campaign, in partnership with singer David Correy.
