Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)’s Verizon Wireless Initiated A Campaign Against Domestic Violence Together With Philadelphia Eagles

Boston, MA, 04/03/2014  (usastockreports) – Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)’s unit Verizon wireless together with the Philadelphia Eagles initiated a campaign called “Pass Along Hope” which seeks to increase awareness on domestic violence.

New SMART Store

At Verizon Wireless SMART Store in Bensalem, PA yesterday, the company’s Philadelphia Tri-State Region President Rob Miller, Eagles’ Brent Celek and the Mayor of Bensalem Township Joe DiGirolamo came together to strategies of the campaign. The event took place marking the renovation of SMART store, the first to be established in Bucks County. An official ribbon cutting ceremony in which the three important persons participated along with the associates of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

Verizon Wireless extended its support to the campaign by offering it a $5,000 check to enable it to form organizations and area shelters.

“Pass Along Hope”

The campaign is an interactive platform which supports community members and fans to stand up and come in front against domestic violence. It seeks to reach its aims by encouraging people to donate discarded or obsolete wireless phones, accessories, batteries to regional stores of Verizon Wireless. It further encourages everyone to share personal vies and messages of hope on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s social networking platform using the hashtag #EaglesVZWHope. Verizon wireless has announced donating $1 to the campaign for every mobile donated by followers. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) pledged to donate up to $15,000 in support of organizations and area shelters by this means.

Community members and fans of Philadelphia Eagles have been requested to send inspirational messages and messages of hopes for the people who are affected by domestic violence. They could do so through Twitter or by participating directly on the website www.PhiladelphiaEagles.com/HopeLine. The candidates could follow along with Brent Celek both via Twitter as well as via Instagram @BrentCelek. Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) and Verizon Wireless (@VZWSheldon) also seek to participate in the conversation.
